Business and social media are thoroughly integrated these days, but it hasn’t always been that way. I am joined by Steven Rosenberg to discuss how businesses were reluctant to use social media at first, up until the past couple of years. This reluctance was also seen when ecommerce first came around.
Why so reluctant?
There is a learning curve, as well as a trust curve, that comes with any new business application. However, businesses recognize now that not being on social media would be detrimental. With a growing social media culture, businesses must use these platforms to stay relevant. In the past 5 years social media has gone from being accepted, to being expected.
Now is the time
There are still many small businesses that aren’t on social media, and now is the time to change that. With these platforms blowing up, anyone not participating is missing out on creating a presence for themselves. Using social media platforms makes your business more transparent and more interactive. Your customers can provide feedback that could help you improve your business as a whole.
